Driving home after New Year the litter alongside the A42 was appalling, what has happened to us? Who are all these people who just toss plastic bottles, tin cans, pizza boxes, cardboard mugs, polystyrene containers and plastic bags out of car windows?
Back home in Stannington I see bags of dog shit and crisp bags and other litter stuffed into cracks in someone's wall, on what planet is that acceptable, civilised behaviour? I could also mention the fly tipping, but what's the point? This country has lost the plot and there's an argument that it comes from the top down, honest politicians would be a start, Anyone else noticed no one calls them statesmen anymore.
